1. Who We Are

Dexin TMS ("Dexin", "we", "our") is a trademark management platform for Indian trademark attorneys and proprietors, accessible at dexin.in. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, mobile number, and firm/organisation name.

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and general activity within the platform — used to improve the service and for analytics.

Client intake forms: If you share a New Filings form link with a client, we collect the data that client submits (applicant name, address, trademark details). This data is stored under your account and is never shared with other users.

Chrome Extension: The Dexin Chrome extension reads your API token (stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local) and the filing data you request by Filing ID. The extension communicates only with dexin.in and ipindiaonline.gov.in. No browsing history or other page data is collected.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the Dexin platform (portfolio management, deadline tracking, searches, AI tools)
• To send you trademark change alerts, hearing reminders, and deadline notifications you have opted into
• To provide customer support
• To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised usage analytics
• To send promotional communications — you can unsubscribe at any time

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• Infrastructure providers: AWS (file storage), hosting providers — under strict data processing agreements
• Email services: To deliver transactional and notification emails
• Legal requirements: If required by law or a valid government order

Your trademark portfolio data and client intake data are never shared with other Dexin users or third parties for commercial purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and portfolio data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. API tokens used by the Chrome extension are stored only in your browser's local extension storage — they are never stored in cookies or accessible to web pages. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your data.

7. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update your name, email, or mobile number from your Profile page
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email

8. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication (to keep you logged in) and analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Dexin after changes means you accept the updated policy.
